This soup actually isn't from OHSU, but rather a little place on Hawthorne called Than Thao. It is called "sizzling rice soup," and has shrimp, chicken, carrots, corn, and zucchini. The rice is in the box off to the left. It makes a sizzling sound - kind of akin to Rice Krispies - when you pour the rice into the soup. I'm eating the soup with my grandmother, who is one of my favorite people in all the world. That is her placemat in the photo. She's having spanakopita, so she doesn't get to be in the photo.
